A year in our new house! A couple years of settling into a new life for myself since leaving the farm and my old life behind after many months (years) of trying to make it work. I feel so much better overall and yet I am still reinventing the next phase and asking what do I REALLY want with this life. Definitely to serve the Earth and birthing people, but possibly in new ways! We shall see. For now, I am reciting the mantra in a Thich Naht Hanh book I am reading, “I have arrived. I am home.” There’s nowhere else to be but present in my body and this beautiful life! I am enough.

🌟 a healing second birth 🌟 This mama reached out several months ago hoping for a much different experience with her second birth and her goals were achieved! It was a beautiful, powerful, and totally unique experience. Some things that probably helped were choices she made like:
✅ midwifery care
✅ letting labor begin on its own
✅ waiting to be admitted to the hospital until in active labor
✅ paying close attention to nutrition and caring for the body in pregnancy
✅ doula support
✅ pushing on hands and knees instead of on the back
✅ having a birth plan that made sure everyone was aware of her preferences
🌟 mom and baby are doing great and enjoying a much easier recovery this time around, too! Congrats, mama!! 🌟
