Birth Doula Packages

Journey to Birth Doula Support
$275

All the benefits of a doula in preparing for your birth journey and postpartum time, but for those who do not wish for in-person support during their birth.

Basic

  • Two prenatal visits to assess your needs and desires for birth, create a birth plan, discuss comfort measures, understand common concerns during pregnancy, birth and postpartum.  These visits will provide you with useful tools for labor and birth to approach the special day with ease
  • Birth preferences assistance to help you clarify your preferences for birth and explain the options that are available to you
  • Access to lending library of books, videos, and additional information related to pregnancy, birth, and baby care
  • One postpartum follow-up visit to celebrate the birth of your baby, debrief about your birth experience, and answer any questions you have during the early postpartum period
  • Text and email support during work hours leading up to the birth and in the postpartum period.
  • 24/7 On-call time is not available with this option.
Basic Doula Services

(I am open to monthly payment plans, HSA payments, and I can give discounts for financial need if you are really committed to having a doula at your birth, but this price is truly not affordable.)

  • Meet-and-greet interview.
  • Two prenatal visits to assess your needs and desires for birth, define and understand our expectations of one another, and provide you with useful tools for labor and birth
  • Birth preferences assistance to help you clarify your preferences for birth and explain the options that are available to you
  • Access to lending library of books, videos, and additional information related to pregnancy, birth, and baby care
  • Unlimited phone, text and e-mail support to answer your questions and offer suggestions and support throughout pregnancy and early labor
  • On-call 24/7 starting at week 37
  • Continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to you and your partner for the duration of labor and birth, to help you hold and move towards the vision you created for your baby’s birth
  • Initial breastfeeding support immediately after birth to help your baby latch on properly and encourage establishment of breastfeeding
  • One postpartum follow-up visit within the first week to celebrate the birth of your baby, debrief about your birth experience, and answer any questions you have during the early postpartum period. This includes basic breastfeeding support and referral as needed.

Deluxe Doula Services
$1500
  • Everything included under the Basic Doula Services Package
  • An initial pelvic floor consult with Kare Pelvic Health (value $190)
  • An additional prenatal visit to go more in depth with Spinning Babies and Body Ready Method evaluation/exercises and body work, Kangaroula care education, and postpartum resources/planning including preparation for breastfeeding.
  • An additional postpartum visit at 2-6 weeks postpartum to continue processing your birth, discuss breastfeeding challenges, help with light housework, and provide additional resources and references as needed.
  • A copy of Prepare Your Nest: A Postpartum Planning Notebook by Kestrel Gates, Postpartum Bath Herbs, and a soap of your choice (a $30 value)
Monitrice Advanced Doula Services
$1850
  • Everything included under the Basic Doula Services Package
  • An initial pelvic floor consult with Kare Pelvic Health (value $190)
  • Two additional prenatal visits in the Midwifery Model of Care where we can get more in-depth with your concerns, check fetal positioning and growth, prepare for birth, and more.
  • Midwifery Skills during early labor including: checking fetal heart tones, blood pressure and other vitals, and optional vaginal exams.  These are not considered medical support, but are complimentary midwifery skills. You still have another primary care provider who will ultimately help you to make all medical decisions.
  • Accompany you to the hospital when you are (ideally) in active labor and support you as your doula through birth and the immediate postpartum.
  • An additional postpartum visit at 2-6 weeks to check in with you and baby. Address any concerns, more breastfeeding support, referrals to other professionals as needed.

  • Photography ($70)
    • I will take photos as appropriate, edit the photos, and make them available to you within two weeks of giving birth. I am not a professional-level photographer (please ask if you would like referrals) and my first priority is serving as your doula, but I can take pictures and edit them to the best of my ability.
  • Postpartum Doula Care – 3 hour blocks of postpartum support (newborn basics, breastfeeding help, light chores/errands, nap assistance, comforting discussion, warm tea) for $85 or a la carte for $30/hour.
  • Full Spectrum Doula Services — Support with fertility, pregnancy loss, miscarriage, termination. Please contact me to discuss additional details.
Payment Terms
  • Upon signing our agreement, you will pay a 50% non-refundable Prenatal and Postpartum Services Fee .
  • The remaining 50% balance is a Birth Support Services Fee and is due by the 36th week of pregnancy or the second prenatal visit, whichever is later.
  • Need to pay in smaller increments over time? Let’s make a plan!
